It seems the plus size travel blogger community has grown so much since I posted my list of 5 Plus Size Travel Bloggers of 2019. That list is a group of women I look up to, who I admired so much from afar. I’ve now met three of them and can call them true friends. The power of the internet, am I right? The plus size travel community has really blossomed for me since then, so I’d like to share some new faces for 2020. Maybe this means I’ll meet some of these folks this year too?
Some have blogs, others share only on Instagram, but they’re all people to follow!
1. ChubbyDiaries
Jeff, the smile behind ChubbyDiaries, has got to be my favorite plus size travel blogger right now. First, his smile is infectious. Second, he’s lifting up not only the plus community, but the Black Community as well. Third, he’s honest and transparent. He’s definitely someone to not only follow but look up to!
2. Veera Bianca
Veera is a Finnish blogger and photographer. She posts stunning photos with thoughtful captions and super-relatable quotes. Not gonna lie though, what actually drew me to her was her wardrobe aesthetic, definitely fashion goals for me.
3. From Annette with Love
Annette is probably the OG plus size travel blogger. She created the first plus size travel community (that I’m aware of), Fat Girls Traveling. Honestly, I consider her an activist more than a blogger. She’s constantly speaking out and working for diversity and inclusion in the travel industry, and I know I’m not the only one who’d say she’s done more for the plus community than anyone I know.
4. The Chronicles of Wander
As I’m writing this, Roxanne has been posting stunning photos from Italy. What I like most though, is her travel fashion. I feel like too often I limit myself when it comes to form over function and she seems to have found a good balance between the two!
5. Ashley’s Adventure
Ashley actually labels herself as an “outdoorswoman” more than “traveler” but she’s clearly traveling! I especially love how she challenges the status quo regarding plus size women being active and truly enjoying the wilderness.
Of course, I still follow and absolutely love everyone from the 2019 list, but I wanted to bring you some new plus size travel blogger faces for 2020! If you have any other recommendations, please let me know!
